JAN DU PLAIN: President and CEO
Jan Du Plain is a public relations and special events executive who has worked in the Washington DC area for over 40 years.
Her career began in California as an advertising executive on her father’s newspaper; a literary agency in Hollywood; and then to NYC to become a publicist for CBS Films, a motion picture company that produced such hits as
“Little Big Man” with Dustin Hoffman and the “Reivers” with Steve McQueen. She landed in Washington DC in 1971 and served as the PR Director at historic Ford’s Theater promoting such shows as “Godspell,” David Wayne in “An Unpleasant
Evening with H.L. Mencken,” and Hal Holbrook in “Mark Twain Tonight.” She enjoyed a short career as an actress with a repertory theatre in northern California starring in the hit show “Same Time Next Year.” She returned to Washington and for
15 years was the PR Director of WETA, the 3rd largest producer of public TV shows for PBS, promoting such luminaries as award-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns (The Civil War) talk show hosts Bill Moyers, Charlie Rose and David Frost. .
She is a graduate of the School of Public Affairs and Government, American University, Washington, D.C. and has received many honors during her prestigious career. For the last 13 years, she is the CEO of Du Plain Enterprises Inc, a PR and special
events firm and the Du Plain International Speakers Bureau. Her company has handled the successful speakers program for the Smithsonian Institution's highly acclaimed 150th anniversary celebration on the national mall; Broadway’s smash hit musical,
CHICAGO, at the National Theater in Washington, DC; The Shakespeare Guild’s "Sir John Gielgud Award" featuring Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench, Robert Mondavi's American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts, and helped launch Cultural

MARTHA MOTTA-DELGADO: Executive Director, Du Plain International Speakers Bureau
Martha Delgado, is the executive director of Du Plain International Speakers Bureau. She is responsible for the management of the bureaus professional speakers and trainers, the sale of speaker services and the execution of contracts for services. Ms. Delgado is responsible for the development of strategic marketing campaigns and new client development.
Previously, she served as Director of Communications for St. John’s Community Services, a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. She was Director of Programming and Marketing for Amzak International, a global cable acquisition company in Miami, Florida. During her tenure, Ms. Delgado managed the daily operations of the cable programming and marketing departments and spearheaded the strategic planning team of the company's international cable division.
She has served as Senior Marketing and Sales Manager for Metro Goldwyn Mayer, promoting the MGM product, coordinating international marketing campaigns and product distribution of MGM for Latin America, Asia and the U.S. markets. Ms. Delgado began her career in television with MGM as Programming Coordinator with the parent company, United International Holdings. In this position she supervised the programming and marketing for 22 UIH cable properties in six countries and participated in the due diligence for the creation of educational cable programming for Latin America.
She is a graduate of Florida Metropolitan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management, earned a certificate in Spanish from the University of Miami, and certified project manager from Boston University. She holds a state of Nevada teaching license and RE investment license. Ms. Delgado speaks fluent English, Spanish and conversational Portuguese.

Lydia Baugh: Director, Marketing & Communications
Lydia Baugh has over 9 years of professional experience in sales, marketing and communications. She has successfully led and collaborated in marketing efforts with organizations, domestic and international,
in the public and private sectors, including: Fortune 500 companies, entertainment and sports organizations. Areas of expertise include: Public relations, international relations, market research, event planning and creating brand awareness.
Born and educated overseas, she has a deep rooted commitment to interfaith work and to bring awareness and understanding to different faiths and cultures. Ms. Baugh is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia.

Sally Anderson : Fund/Development
Sally Anderson has over 20 years of experience in planning and executing national visibility and fundraising initiatives for large institutions including the US Peace Institute, National Museum of Woman in the Arts where she served as Director of External Affairs, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and The Shakespeare Theatre.
Ms. Anderson was responsible for the overall marketing, communications, public relations and fundraising strategy for three internationally renowned institutions. She created, developed and implemented institutional marketing plans for these organizations to increase visibility and revenue through collaborations, special events, direct mail, and programming. She was responsible for raising millions of dollars through a strategic mix of direct mail membership, corporate membership, major donor and foundation support. She is an expert in museum member and donor communications, press materials and media relations. She has managed successful national direct mail programs including acquisition, renewals, and special appeals for 150,000-museum membership with annual revenue from direct mail of more than $2 million.
FRANCINE LAMONTAGNE: Director of International Programs/ Canada
Ms. La Montagne is an International Consultant with over twenty years of experience in management of publications and international events, management of education programs, coordination of research teams, developing projects and policy analyses. She has excellent writing and speaking in French, English and Spanish as well as extensive experience in organizing and managing a variety of international events of different scales (conferences, consultations, meetings, seminars) devoted to a range of subjects regarding international health issues in both the developed and developing worlds.
Those events involved representatives from governments, academia, NGOs, private sector as well as international organizations including the following: the Pan American Health Organization /World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), the Inter-American Development Bank, the Organization of American States, the World Bank, and the International Federation of Hospitals.United Nations Award Winner as Programs Manager for Coalition'99, for its contribution to the International Year of Older Persons in 1999; a network composed of more than 3,300 organizations worldwide.
GARY TISCHLER: Writer-Editor
Mr. Tischler has been a respected journalist in Washington for over 25 years. He has been feature editor at the Georgetowner since the 1980s, where he has covered the performing arts and museums, as well as local politics. He is also a principal writer for the Downtowner, part of the Georgetown Media Group. He has interviewed politicians, elected officials, cultural leaders, actors, artists, media stars and athletes. He has written frequently for the Washington Times and its Weekend Section, and is a regular contributor to the Washington Diplomat. He has also written for Applause, the magazine for the Music Center at Strathmore. Mr. Tischler attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio and the University of Oklahoma. For a decade he worked at the Independent-Journal in Marin County and the Hayward Daily Review, two daily newspapers in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he won Associated Press and San Francisco Press Club prizes for feature writing.
